Cheapest Phone in India – 1000 Rupees Phone from Reliance Jio

Looks like there’s no stopping Reliance Jio. After revolutionizing the 4G Internet space, Reliance Jio is all set to take on the smartphone market by launching the cheapest 4G VoLTE phone in India. Reports suggest that Reliance will be launching their cheapest smartphone in 2017 for Rs. 1,000.

Reliance Jio is yet to confirm the buzz, but reports suggest that the phone will be powered by a Spreadtrum 9820 processor, with a good (how good I don’t know) quality camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and decently large display.

If this report is true, this will be Reliance’s big jump to popularize the use of smartphones in India and take it to the untapped rural areas.
