The iPhone 7 series include new camera systems, better battery life, and water & dust resistance. Here are the most important things you need to know about the iPhone 7:
Advanced Camera
iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus has some of the most advanced camera features. Within the 12-megapixel camera they have introduced an optical image stabilization, a larger f/1.8 aperture and 6-elements lens that enable brighter, more detailed photos & videos.
iPhone 7 Plus features an additional 12-megapixel telephoto camera that together offer optical zoom at two times and up to 10 times digital zoom for photos. By the end of this year, the dual 12-megapixel will also enable a new depth-of-field effect.
Additional camera features include:
- New Apple-designed Image Signal Processor, which processes over 100 billion operations on a single photo in as little as 25 milliseconds, resulting in incredible photos and videos;
- New 7-megapixel FaceTime HD camera with wide color capture, advanced pixel technology and auto image stabilization for even better selfies; and
- New Quad-LED True Tone flash that is 50 percent brighter than iPhone 6s including an innovative sensor that detects the flickering in lights and compensates for it in videos and photos.
Front- facing camera
The iPhone 7’s 7-megapixel front-facing camera leaps up from 5 megapixels on the iPhone 6S, and include auto-image stabilization.
Longer Battery Life
The iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are said to both offer the best battery life of any iPhone. You’ll get a reported two additional hours of use in the iPhone 7 Plus and an additional hour in the 7.
Faster Processor
The iPhone 7’s new A10 Fusion chip is a 64-bit, quad-core processor that Apple says is 40 percent faster than last year’s A9 processor. Two cores are high-performance; the other two are “high efficiency,” which means they’ll conserve battery while handling tasks.
Dust and Water resistant
An entirely reengineered enclosure in the iPhone 7 protects it like never before against spills, splashes, and dust.
Goodbye to headphone jack!
The headphone jack has been replaced by Apple’s new EarPods headphones that will connect through the Lightning connector port; you’ll also get an adaptor in the box. Apple’s also introduced AirPods that connects wirelessly through auto-pairing.
Stereo Speakers
New stereo speakers offer amazing and immersive sound experience that is two times louder than iPhone 6s.
More storage
The new iPhone are available in 32GB, 128GB, 256GB capacities.
Look & Feel
The iPhone 7 feels pretty much the same as the iPhone 6S , with the same 4.7-inch screen. Apple says the “HD Retina display” is 25 percent brighter than last year’s model. It includes the pressure-sensitive 3D Touch layer that buzzes slightly when you press and hold the screen.
Colors
The iPhones are available in Glossy jet black, matte black, gold, silver, rose gold color (P.S.: New jet black is only available in 128GB and 256GB models.)

iPhone 7 Pricing & Availability in India
The phones will be available in India from 7 October and the price starts at Rs 60,000 (32GB). This is significant as the iPhone 6s 16GB had an India launch price of Rs 62,000.
Apple also confirmed prices for the new accessories. The wireless AirPods including charging case will be available for Rs 15,400 beginning in late October. All iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus models will include EarPods with Lightning Connector and a Lightning to 3.5 mm Headphone Jack Adapter. Apple will sell these separately as well at Rs 2,500 and Rs 900, respectively.
