Everyone who has been allotted permanent account number as on the 1st day of July, 2017, and who has aadhaar number or is eligible to obtain Aadhaar number, shall intimate his Aadhaar number to income tax authorities for the purpose of linking PAN with Aadhaar.

How to link PAN card and Aadhaar Online – Step by step process
Step 1 – Go to http://www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
On the left-hand side, you’ll notice a “Link Aadhaar” link (see screenshot).

Step 3 – Now provide your PAN card number, Aadhaar number, and your name (as provided in Aadhaar Card) in the respective fields shown. Also, type in the captcha number as shown

Step 4 – Click on the “Link Aadhaar” button and you’re done.
Your request will be verified and you intimidated by the status in a few days.
How to link PAN card to Aadhar – Summary
It is very simple to link your PAN card with your Aadhar card. All you need to do is follow the steps mentioned below:
Visit the official website of the Income Tax Department (https://www1.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in/e-FilingGS/Services/AadhaarPreloginStatus.html).
You will be asked to enter your PAN number, your Aadhar number and your name as mentioned in your Aadhar card.
After entering all the details, you will have to select the ‘I have’ option from the drop-down menu.
A new screen will open where you will have to enter the captcha code and click on the ‘Get One Time Password’ button.
An OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Validate and Link Aadhaar’ button. If the information provided by you is correct, your PAN card will be successfully linked to your Aadhar card.
The process mentioned above can also be followed by visiting any of the TIN-NSDL or UTI Infrastructure Technology And Services Limited (UTIITSL) centers.
