Originally, skydiving was done by soldiers making their way to the battlefield. Today, skydiving is one of the most exciting adventure sports and has been opened to the general public. It is an extreme sport and there is an element of risk to it. But it is the risk factor that gets the adrenaline flowing.

#1: Mehsana, Gujarat

Dhana, Madhya Pradesh has the distinction of organising the first every skydiving camp in India. It is a beautiful little town, not far from Bhopal. You can opt for a variety of jumps in Dhana, ranging from tandem jump to static line jump, from a height of 4000 feet above the ground.

Only tandem jumps from a height of 10,000 feet are allowed here. Deesa is a lovely little lakeside city in Gujarat, and is considered to be one of the best skydiving destinations in the country. Deesa can be reached by bus or train from Ahmedabad. A drive from Ahmedabad to Deesa takes a little more than two hours, at best.
