If you are looking for a rewards credit card to put all your movie ticket expenses, online shopping and other regular day-to-day purchases into one, then Axis Bank Neo credit card is a good choice.
It’s one of Axis bank’s best rewards credit card that boast of 10% cashback on all purchases. On top of that, you get Axis bank’s special discount offers on mobile recharges, ticket bookings, travel bookings and the like (they have different offers each other month).
Who is it for?
It’s for the urban shopaholic who spends a lot on movies, online shopping, travel etc. I love the fact that they have 10% cashback on all purchases along with discounts on selected items. It’s probably a perfect card for those who shop regularly on Jabong, because they have a welcome gift worth Rs. 500 and more vouchers available.
If you use BookMyShow for movie ticket booking, there’s a Rs.200 worth welcome gift on top of the 10% cashback rewards.
What’s the highlight?
10% cashback rewards is definitely the highlight of this card. However, there’s an easy EMI option for any purchases above Rs.25,000. Where in, if you contact the bank, they’ll arrange any purchase above Rs.25,000 on easy monthly installments. No idea how much the EMI interest rate is going to be, but it is definitely an option. My hunch is that the interest rate is going to be huge, and this must be reserved for emergency purchases (like last resort), but hoping that it will be less than a cash advance.
Should you get it?
If you book tickets via BookMyShow, shop on Jabong.com and need a good cashback credit card for your regular online and offline shopping list, then this is a good card to have.
Who can get it?
Any salaried individual between age of 18 and 70 years either a resident of India or is an NRI is eligible. Of course, you will need to give the regular documents like PAN card, Passport etc during application process. It takes about a month for the application to go through.
Joining & Annual fees
There’s a Rs.250 for joining which will be waived off once there is a purchase of Rs.2,500 in 45 days! There are no first year annual fee but second year onward, there’s a Rs.250 annual fee. Also, the APR rate is 46.78% per annum. Bummer!
